THE THEME
TurnerHacks 2021 provided us with a rather broad theme of exploration. While at first we had a hard time deciphering which niche of this theme should we approach, we eventually were able to combine the best of our ideas.
OUR APPROACH
While taking inspiration from movies and science fiction, we were able to assemble all our of ideas into a grand plan; to build a space shuttle. In a futuristic model, we incorporated Cryo Pods for long flights, sustainable energy sources through metallic hydrogen fuel and solar panels as well as an app that organizes the data of those on board.

Using metallic hydrogen, a fuel that is 22 times more efficient than the liquid oxygen used today, we are able to travel further, while remaining sustainable.
CryoPods
A system of hibernation chambers aboard the Cosmic Shuttle, allowing passengers to spend 2 weeks in statis at a time.
Custom API
An app that allows passengers to organize their information, creating a comprehensive database of the shuttle.
The Cosmic Shuttle is our idea of the future. Casting a bridge between space exploration and eco-friendly transportation, the shuttle includes cryopods for long space journeys, a refined fuel system made of hydrogen canisters to create Metallic Hydrogen, a fuel that is 22 times more efficient than liquid oxygen. Moreover, an API system on board keeps the database and information of passengers easy to access. Lastly, the sleek, futuristic design is proof of our ambitious vision that we hope to achieve.
